We are deeply disappointed to share that our application for the Digital Opportunity Grant under the Digital Equity Act, submitted in November 2024, will not receive funding. This follows the termination of the Digital Equity Act as part of Executive Order 14151, "Ending Radical and Wasteful Government DEI Programs and Preferencing," signed by President Trump on January 20, 2025. The executive order directs federal agencies to end all DEIA-related programs and grants.
While this development is challenging, our dedication to bridging the digital divide and promoting digital literacy in our communities is stronger than ever. We will continue to explore and pursue other funding avenues to support this critical mission.
