How does it work? 

  • Residents of Franklin and Jefferson Counties must complete an intake to become approved EZMO riders. 
  • Once approved rides can be requested through the EZMO app or by calling 877-743-3966.
  • Rides must be scheduled in advance and are based on volunteer driver availability; requests are not guaranteed. 
  • There is no cost for approved riders.

Driver Benefits:

  • Make your own schedule.
  • Receive weekly non-taxed mileage reimbursement payments based on the current IRS mileage rate, determined by the miles you drive. 
  • Meet new people and help community residents by providing essential rides. 
  • Benefit from supplemental agency insurance that provides additional coverage beyond your personal policy for any ride-related incidents. 
  • Annual Volunteer Recognition Event. 
Requirements:
  • Must be 21 or older
  • Own your own vehicle
  • Vehicle must pass state and agency safety inspections
  • Provide proof of valid car insurance policy, Photo ID, Social Security Card
  • Pass all required agency-funded drug and alcohol screenings, required background checks. 
  • Receive a Driver Safety Bag that includes a car management and other essential tools.
