Through the Insurance Navigator Program, Certified Application Counselors or Navigators assist consumers with applying for insurance coverage through the Marketplace. This includes a Marketplace plan, Medicaid, or the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP). Navigators help consumers understand their health coverage and how they can access primary care and preventive services.

INP offers case management services for individuals that meet the following requirements:
  1. Are residents of Jefferson County or Franklin County, Missouri;
  2. Are age eighteen (18) or older (or legally emancipated);
  3. Do not currently have health insurance and are seeking employment, or who are not yet ready to seek employment, but might be if they receive needed health services.
Tasks include, but are not limited to: goal setting, researching coverage options, navigating the Marketplace, assisting with insurance applications, explaining coverage options, help understanding confusing information, providing support and offering additional resources as needed (may include use of computer with internet access, access to transportation services, etc).
